Love is the strongest bonding force of all. It fades the differences away, brings us closer together and fortifies our friendships. In the foundation of Basepaws lies a special kind of love – love for cats. One particularly loving and caring member of our community is a beautiful hooman and fur parent, Vanessa. Over the years, Vanessa has gone to great lengths to help numerous animals and provide them with the best lives possible. Nowadays, she is taking care of four lucky pets, of which three are on hospice levels. Ladies and gents, please meet one of Vanessa's utmost darling companions – inimitable Cassidy Catters.
The first time Clark came to my house to meet me, he was curled up into a ball and trembling next to me on the couch. Even though he was scared-to-death to be in an unfamiliar place, he managed to lift up his little head and briefly make eye contact with me as if to say, "I’ve had a rough start in life and I need someone to love me." - Basepaws client Rebecca.
Samantha is a pawesome hooman companion to five fantastic pets – three cats and two dogs. Such immense bundle of furriness is bound to bless a home with a vast amount of love, happiness, meows and barks! Ladies and gents, please meet Basepaws cat Lexie with her hooman Samantha and four fur siblings.
"I decided to take the Basepaws DNA test because Maddie is so very important to me. We are very closely bonded and I want him to be around for many years. I am hoping that with this DNA testing I will be able to find out if he is prone to any health conditions so I can keep a sharp eye out for them." - describes our dear client Ashley - "I want to find out how to provide the best possible care for him, based on his DNA, to help him live the longest and healthiest that he can. I was also intrigued to learn if he had strong tendencies towards any particular breeds."
"I have always been a dog person, so our dog Lucy, she is my heart on four legs. And Tommy is the love of my husband’s life! But, Mortimer, he is the sweetest cat I have ever met!" - gushed Angela when we asked her about her three wonderfully distinct, but equally loving fur companions.
"Alex really loves being around people more so than any other cat I have ever had in my life." – remarked Chris when we asked him and his wife Sarah to introduce Alex to us, their tiger cat from the picture above. The core of his home’s soul and the leading hunter in the family, Alex daily treats his humans with tons of love, kitty head butts and chipmunks. He never fails to charm with his noble, dog-like behavior whilst never losing a snippet of his feline grace. Ladies and gents, please meet Alex and his hoomans Sarah and Chris.
"Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: 'What? You too? I thought I was the only one!'" In light of this, the time has come for another magical story from the Basepaws family! Please meet Sylvia and her hoomans Jen and Dan.
"I love cats because I enjoy my home; and little by little, they become its visible soul." (Jean Co)
Regardless of all our differences and preferences, the one thing that brings us all together here at Basepaws is our love for cats. We are always excited to hear your stories and share them with the rest of our community. Recently we met Rachel and her adorable, upbeat bundle – Daisy - and we can’t wait for you guys to meet them too!
"Animals are the bridge between us and the beauty of all that is natural. They show us what's missing in our lives, and how to love ourselves more completely and unconditionally. They connect us back to who we are, and to the purpose of why we're here."― Trisha McCagh
Cats, cats, cats! Why are we so crazy about them? Possibly because they rule our internet, eat our food, sleep in our beds and generally own us. Eh, we don’t mind - especially when they look like our new favorite snowball. Please, meet Casper, a gorgeous blue-eyed therapy cat and his fur parent Jessica!
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." ― Anatole France
Pets, pets, pets! They are treasured family members in two-thirds of American households (about 71.1 million)! They may bark, meow, chirp, squeak or quietly swim around, but one thing is for sure: they are our favorite life companions and our best friends who keep our hearts warm, loved and happy.
